This is definitely a season of growth for me in which I am being pulled from a very comfortable (not so healthy) spot. God has shown me a major area in my life that needs to change in order for me to be truly happy and it starts by letting go of some things while bringing in others. I hope that bringing in includes the ability to reach out and create friendships that are lasting and rooted deep! I desire them greatly, I'm just not sure how to create them. jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13836907024471611566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8529527801936243885.post-38416435955725502702012-12-17T14:21:47.885-06:002012-12-17T14:21:47.885-06:00Maybe it feels off because you are (as you said)ap...Maybe it feels off because you are (as you said)approaching things differently than you usually would. Don't they know it inherently has a way to get rid of guilt? Jesus took on our sin. He called for us to repent and follow. Confessing our sin, to God and some person other than ourselves, means there is no reason to carry guilt. Have enough faith in your Father to not lead you down the wrong path and hurt you or your children. Sometimes God puts things on our hearts that we feel uneasy about to test our faithfullness to him. If you feel a nudge, go for it with all your might and don't worry about it. Trust in the Lord with all your might and take the leap, take the risk.
Now as I homeschooler I will tell you that you do not have to have a certain curriculum to graduate high school or to get into college. Colleges actually prefer homeschoolers because they are more disaplined and well rounded students. It takes a few years to get the hang of it and know which curriculum works best for you and your family. I highly recommend My Father's World as a curriculum that is Bible based, full of enrichment, academics and easy on the parent. All your lesson plans, down to what to say are there for you in the teacher's manual. It is "idiot proof" as some might say.
Don't worry about if YOU can do it, know in your heart that GOD CAN do it if he is calling you to homeschool. As Christians we ever so gently nudged at times by the Lord to do something that we feel is a mistake or wrong or impossible. At times like these, it is the most important to hold your nose, tuck your knees in and JUMP! Put all your faith and trust in Him and all will be well. It is a test of faith.........don't fail.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8529527801936243885.post-62708291658240656312009-01-12T20:16:00.000-06:002009-01-12T20:16:00.000-06:00Jen - I have been addicted to food and now am gett...Jen - I have been addicted to food and now am getting free with God's help.
