Draining friends.
We all have them.
How do you deal with them?

Jen - This is a hard one and I have to be honest. A lot of times I just don't answer the phone. I know that sounds mean, but I had to tell the truth. I will sometimes call back but try to stay on the phone for a minimal time. I do have lunch about once a month with this person and it is all I can do to sit there - this person is so negative and yes, drains all my energy. What do I do? I pray to God to help me, to make me sweeter and more loving. Isn't that what we are studying for 40 days? Love you Jen and sorry I couldn't be of more help. Blessings.
In small doses. You have to choose your own battles, when you can.
Sometimes, I do like Judy. Caller ID is a blessing. I know that there are times that I just don't have time to yak (I know... I'm a HUGE yakker), so I will not answer the phone but make a mental note to return the call later.
Draining friends... they will eventually drain away anyway.
you know, all i can do is deal with my own heart and what's going on there...so many people who were in my life have moved on, and i wish those people were back, drain and all...
I have found that just taking yourself away from and not being available to them anymore is the solution. They can pull you down into a great pit:-)
Jen, thanks so much for your precious comment to my girl. Deeply appreciate your helping out with the orphans!
